How Coaching Works
Financial coaching consists of four steps that can take a few sessions, or a lot of sessions. It's entirely up to you.
Step 1: Free 15 minute consultation call - I want to hear from you what you need help with, your goals and what situation you might be in. If you choose to proceed, some homework will be sent via email.
Step 2: Once initial homework is sent back to me, a 1-hour meet-up will be scheduled. I'm happy to do virtual if necessary but there is something about a face-to-face conversations that put people at ease. More homework might be assigned.
Step 3: I'll put together your debt pay off plan (if needed), gather resources as needed and a lot of communication will happen back and forth. (Typically, you can plan on 2-3 hours of work with follow up communication)
Step 4: Another meet up is scheduled to finalize a plan or address any goals. (1 hour)
We can meet to maintain what we've put together, communicate when necessary, or plan ahead for more meet-ups to continue with on-going financial goals. (1 hour meet-ups)
Why do you charge for financial coaching?
There are two main reasons:
#1. Buy-in creates commitment - If you don't have anything to lose, trust me, you won't commit for the long run.
#2. My time - I've put in a lot of time and money to get here. And you get what you pay for! There are those that can help with your finances that will help for free, but I promise you, you will not get the time, attention and resources to be successful!
**Please note, an average of $75 an hour is significantly lower than any coach I've ever seen in the midwest. Coaches are encouraged to charge $150+. I'm choosing to set my prices lower for locational reasons and because honestly, I've done this long enough and worked with enough people to know that if it's more than $75, people can't afford to have a financial coach.
